US Caregiving Youth Connect

11/03/21 – 6-7pm

November is National Family Caregivers’ Month, and to kick it off, AACY will be hosting a very special US Caregiving Youth Connect Event on November 3rd at 6pm EST. A discussion and webinar hosted by our organization and moderated by Caregiving Youth and advocates Daniela Castro-Martinez and Kaylin Jean-Louis. These two young women are inspiring youth who, beyond their own experience as caregivers, want to reach out to and empower others. They will moderate a discussion about what it means to be a Caregiving Youth, some of the lessons they’ve learned, and helpful resources. They will also be taking questions and facilitating discussion with the audience.

Daniela is a high school senior from Arizona who is co-author of the book “Basic Training for Caregivers” and an advocate for Caregiving Youth who is on a mission to connect with and empower as many Caregiving Youth as possible.

Kaylin is the founder of the KCK Youth Care Too! movement to recognize, honor, and celebrate youth, ages 8-18, who are serving as caregivers for sick or disabled parents, siblings, aging relatives, or loved ones. Through the KCK YCT Movement, Kaylin is now leading efforts to advocate for youth caregivers by bringing greater awareness and education relating to youth caregiver needs. Kaylin’s passion is helping others by being that beacon of light and hope to those who may have lost theirs. Please join us for this very special event.
