AACY founder and president Dr. Connie Siskowski had the pleasure to be featured on the JustStart Podcast, created by nationally recognized, Boca Raton High School English Teacher Jordan Hernandez. We are grateful to Jordan for taking the time to learn about AACY and helping us to continue to spread our message, so that the voices of our Caregiving Youth can be heard!

Dr. Siskowski was interviewed for the No Barriers of Fort Collins, CO podcast. Kicking off their newest series featuring Caregivers, No Barriers interviewed Dr. Siskowski, who speaks about the hidden, often-overlooked population of caregivers in our society: children. AACY and No Barriers are excited to grow their partnership in support of our Caregiving Youth!

With an estimated 3.5 – 4.5 million youths are caring for a loved one at home. This segment of children are more likely to have significant issues with school, tardiness and absences which often leads to dropping out of school.

The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) is addressing this social issue. Jeanne discusses this topic with Dr. Richard Lindsay, AJ & Charlie Poole. You can listen to the episode here!
