Press Alert | March 26, 2026 | Two AACY National Advisory Council Members to Present at On Aging 2026
The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) announces that Brian Duke, Co-Chair, AACY National Advisory Council and Former Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and Maria Miranda, LMSW, AACY National Advisory Council Member and Presbyterian Senior Services Bronx Case Management Program, will present at On Aging 2026, the annual conference of the American Society on Aging.
Their session, “Kids Are Caregivers, Too: Supporting Caregiving Youth in the U.S.,” will take place April 21, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
The session will focus on the realities facing Caregiving Youth in the United States, including the lack of visibility these children and teens have within family caregiving policy and support systems. Through research, storytelling, and discussion of current interventions, the presentation will examine how Caregiving Youth are affected and what must happen next to build stronger, more sustainable support.
On Aging 2026 is the nation’s largest multidisciplinary conference on aging and will be held April 20 to 23, 2026, in Atlanta. Conference registration is now open.
