Dr. King is the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. He is responsible for all aspects of student life, promoting a campus culture that embraces academic excellence, social and personal development and civic responsibility. The departments/offices within Student Affairs & Enrollment Management is structured into several functional areas: AVP/Dean of Students, Health & Wellness, Student Outreach & Diversity, Enrollment Management, Housing Operations/Shared Services/Finance, FAU Career Center, and the Center for Global Engagement (collaboration with Academic Affairs).
Dr. King is also the chair of the State University System (SUS) of Florida Council of Student Affairs. In this role, Dr. King advises the Florida Board of Governors on matters related to enrollment management, student safety, mental health, student involvement, and other matters related to student success among the 12 SUS institutions. Dr. King is also an Associate Graduate Faculty with the department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology within the College of Education.
Dr. King holds a Bachelor of Science in Curriculum & Instruction and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration/Student Affairs from Florida State University. He received a Doctorate of Educational Administration & Leadership from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
