Melinda S. Kavanaugh, PhD, LCSW, Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Founder of Global Neuro YCare, will deliver the keynote address at the Southeastern Wisconsin Caregiving Symposium on October 13.

Dr. Kavanaugh is a tireless advocate for Caregiving Youth – children and teens who care for family members living with illness, injury, or disability. Her work spans education, research, and creative storytelling to help young caregivers feel seen and supported around the world.

She is also a member of the AACY Caregiving Youth Research Collaborative (CYRC), a U.S.-focused initiative that brings together researchers and professionals across the United States and Canada to advance knowledge, inform policy, and strengthen support for Caregiving Youth and their families.
