PRESS ALERT | January 6, 2026 | Dr. Connie Siskowski, Founder and President of the American Association of Caregiving Youth, joined Civic Media Radio for an in-depth conversation on the realities facing children who serve as primary caregivers for ill, disabled, or aging family members.
During the second hour of the program, Dr. Siskowski discussed AACY’s mission and the academic, social, and emotional challenges Caregiving Youth face. The show also invited listeners to share their own experiences—from the tech school world to caring for loved ones—before closing with the segment “This Shouldn’t Be a Thing – Crown Jewels Edition.”
