Press Alert, November 26, 2024: On November 15, the Colorado Alliance for Caregiving Youth (CACY), an affiliate of the American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY), held its inaugural “Exploring Caregiving Youth Empowerment” Community Forum. The event provided an engaging platform to raise awareness about the hidden struggles of Caregiving Youth and to discuss actionable solutions for supporting their unique needs.

Attendees explored data from the 2023 Healthy Kids Survey, offering insights into the challenges faced by young caregivers in Colorado. The forum featured a powerful presentation by Dr. Connie Siskowski, RN, PhD, founder and president of AACY, whose groundbreaking advocacy has brought national attention to Caregiving Youth.
