FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) is pleased to announce Caregiving Youth Action Day USA 2024, a virtual event designed to connect middle and high school students who are caregiving for family members with serious health issues. The goal is to have fun, share resources, and foster a supportive sense of community.
Caregiving Youth Action Day USA 2024 takes place on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time via Zoom.
“This event is for Caregiving Youth by Caregiving Youth,” says Dr. Connie Siskowski, President and Founder of AACY. “It’s a chance to meet others who understand the unique challenges and rewards of caring for a loved one. We need national awareness to ensure these Caregiving Youth no longer feel alone and have the resources they need to succeed in school and thrive in life. Connecting with other students across the country is an impactful way to combat their isolation and demonstrate the strength of this growing community.”
