Dale Bell Attends on Behalf of Caregiving Youth

PRESS ALERT | June 18, 2025 | The American Association of Caregiving Youth (AACY) was honored to be represented by Emmy-winning producer and longtime National Advisory Council member Dale Bell at the June 17 screening and panel discussion of the new PBS documentary Caregiving, held at Wallis Annenberg GenSpace in Los Angeles.

Dale has spent decades elevating the voices of caregivers, including producing the groundbreaking 2002 PBS documentary And Thou Shalt Honor, the first national film to spotlight caregiving in America. His continued advocacy reflects a deep commitment to ensuring caregivers of all ages are seen, supported, and included in national conversations.

At the event, Bell helped spotlight Jacob, a student from AACY’s Caregiving Youth Project featured in Caregiving, as well as the millions of young caregivers across the U.S. whose stories often go untold.

The panel, moderated by Cinny Kennard (Executive Director, Annenberg Foundation), included Paul Irving (Consulting Producer, Caregiving), Leeza Gibbons (Former Host, Entertainment Tonight; Caregiver), Christine Fadriga (Home Care Provider, Comfort Keepers), and Chris Durrance (Director & Senior Producer, Caregiving). The conversation underscored the urgency and broad impact of caregiving across generations.
